My thought processes behind this piece go along the lines of... "Who uses paper the most? Students? Teachers? Designers? Businessmen?" They all do, of course, but businessmen wins in the end. I don't even know how this concept came to me. But inspiration was drawn from this old classic:
Whilst the evolution of man stems back far further than 100 years, obviously, 100 years still represents a period of history... I see it as a modernish version, or even extension of the evolution cycle, as man develops into a furiously busy, disorganised working man. Losing his paper everywhere...
I mentioned before that I love symbols and icons etc, the block shape of the man emulates this. No outside influences from toilet door signs this time though, more fire exit signs...
Ahhhhhhh it all makes perfect sense now doesn't it?!
